PEPPERMINT HYDROSOL- 100% NATURAL FLORAL WATER!
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Hydrosol Name: Peppermint
Botanical Name: Mentha piperita
MSDS / CoA
Hydrosols are different than essential oils. A hydrosol (floral water) is the by-product of the essential oils distillation process. When essential oils are extracted from the plant materials, the “leftover” water from the steaming process is collected and put to use.
Once thought of as waste, hydrosols contain all the therapeutic properties of essential oils, just at a lower concentration. Essential oils can become too strong and overly potent without proper dilution, but hydrosols are safe and ready to use. They can be sprayed into the air, applied directly to the skin, and used in the home.
Floral water, aromatic water, hydrolats and hydroflorates are all terms used to describe hydrosols.
Peppermint Hydrosol smells sweet and refreshing. It can ease headaches and hot flashes when used in a cold compress. When applied topically it can reduce itching from bug bites, razor burn, poison ivy, etc. It can be used as a deodorant to freshen up throughout the day or to spray in clothing drawers. It is often used as a toner to tighten pores and brighten skin tone. The aroma has an uplifting, energizing effect and is commonly used in the morning or when experiencing drowsiness.
Examples of when to use peppermint hydrosol:
-
Spray on face and body after the gym to decrease perspiration, deodorize and calm hot skin
-
Spray on face and neck after cleansing to close up pores and to brighten dull skin
-
Spray in the car on the way to work to perk up the senses
-

-
