What Are Premium Dilutions?

If you’ve been browsing our store lately you may have noticed our new line of Premium Dilutions, but what does ‘premium dilution’ even mean? Well, a simple explanation is that these oils have already been diluted for you and they are ready to use!

Here at WFMed we pride ourselves on being able to offer the most affordable prices for our natural products. We believe that going natural is something that should be accessible to everyone! However, there are some oils that are just expensive no matter what. So for a very long time we avoided supplying the highly priced oils altogether, thinking that our customers just wouldn't be interested.

But time and time again we would get questions like “why don’t you carry sandalwood?” or “the recipe I’m following calls for chamomile” and we realized that perhaps there is a demand for these highly priced oils after all.

So we brought some new oils to the lineup: sandalwood, chamomile, frankincense (boswellia carterii), and cinnamon bark. We offer these oils in their pure form, undiluted, and they are priced accordingly.

For someone who is looking to get the benefits of these amazing oils without taking a huge hit to their wallet, we are offering them as Premium Dilutions. They are mixed with grapeseed oil at 10%, 15% or 20%. We have also added diluted variations of neroli, helichrysum and myrrh for you to enjoy at a low cost.

The next question you might have is, well if they’re diluted, does that mean I’m not getting the full benefits of the oil? Essential oils require dilution for most applications. We have diluted them for you in higher concentrations than what is typically recommended, so you may even want to dilute them further before using them on your skin.

(Check out this article for our recommended dilution ratios and why diluting is so important.)

Another question might be, why does this have little to no scent? Often times even when you dilute your own oils at home (properly) the solution you end up with has very little scent to it. The purpose for applying essential oils to your skin is so that you can experience the wonderful therapeutic benefits that the oils have to offer. If you are looking for a natural perfume or a pleasant scent to put on your body, we recommend giving hydrosols (floral waters) a try or following a DIY natural lotion recipe.

That’s all there is to it! We hope you are enjoying our oils as much as we do. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for more tidbits like this.
